Take Part in Our Recipe Lab Video Chat - NYTimes.com

Today we posted our first installment of Recipe Lab, a monthly feature by Julia Moskin in which you, our readers, will play a central role. On March 14 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, the cookbook author Nigella Lawson will join Ms. Moskin for a live video conversation about cooking, her new book, ?Nigellissima,? and her recipe for whole wheat pasta with brussels sprouts, cheese and potato.

Ms. Moskin and Ms. Lawson are inviting three readers to appear with them in their 30-minute video chat. If you?re interested in coming aboard, post a comment below indicating that you are raising your hand, and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you should be selected. (And if you?re not selected, you?ll still be able to watch the conversation, which will stream live here on Diner?s Journal.)

Please keep in mind these prerequisites:

  • You must have cooked the recipe before our chat. (Don?t fret, you have this weekend and most of next week.)
  • You need a computer with a built-in camera or a Webcam attached to it.
  • Preferably, you should be able to connect to the Internet with a cable that you plug into your computer, because Wi-Fi can be spotty for live video appearances.
  • You must be available the afternoon of March 14.

So if you want to cook a Nigella Lawson recipe and discuss it with her directly, here?s your chance. Please comment directly on this post by Thursday, March 7, at 6 p.m. Eastern. Don?t forget to tell us why you would be a great addition to the conversation.
